Impact & Results
Measurable Impacts Since 2019
Since starting in 2019, the Sierra Leone Hepatitis Programme has grown from an idea into a real program that is making a difference in people's lives across Sierra Leone. We began with a simple goal: to help fight hepatitis B, a serious but preventable disease that affects many people in our country. Today, our work includes providing health services directly to communities, training healthcare workers, conducting impactful research that helps inform policy both in Sierra Leone and other countries affected by hepatitis B. Our impact goes beyond just the numbers you'll see below—though those numbers do tell an important story about the thousands of people we've reached.

Healthcare Capacity Building
- More than 500 healthcare workers have been trained about hepatitis B management and prevention
- More than 20 community health centers across the country reached with training programs
- Multiple districts covered including Freetown, Kono, and Moyamba

Geographic Reach
Our programs have reached communities across Sierra Leone:
